Sexy Spanish tennis superstar Rafael Nadal has been tapped by Armani to star in the spring/summer 2011 ad campaign for Emporio Armani Underwear, reports Women's Wear Daily. Nadal will replace former footballers and models Cristiano Ronaldo and David Beckham, and will be photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. How soon until spring?

Great timing! Who needs spooky skeletons or wide-eyed aliens when we have Victoria Beckham? The bony Spice Girl is the latest face (and body) for Armani's new lingerie line. Makes sense, since soccer hub David filled briefs for the house. Armani will debut the Beckham campaign and its line this spring. "Who better than Victoria Beckham to launch our new global Emporio Armani underwear campaign?" said Giorgio Armani. "Victoria is a style icon, a dynamic lady whose influence and recognition will add great excitement to the continued international growth of our Emporio Armani women's underwear business." Meanwhile, rumors continue to fly about Beckham joining other celebs in running in this weekend's New York City Marathon. And if those four miles a day are an indication, it should be a breeze.
