Back before Nolita's Cafe Habana was perpetually packed to its gills, the namesake shop of designer Jane Mayle sat just up the street. Despite being a favorite of downtown denizens and the likes of Maggie Gyllenhaal and Michelle Williams, the shop was forced to close last April. Now, much to the delight of Mayle's hordes of fans, the designer is back with a pop-up shop thanks to a partnership with shoe mavens Sigerson Morrison. Called Kamikze Full of Love, the line extends well beyond footwear: expect clothing and handbags to boot. But be warned, everything is limited edition, and stocks won't last forever. As for the look and feel of the capsule collection, Mayle cryptically mused for Refinery 29, "what's army green, borrows flowers from a neon kimono, and so wants to be love incarnate?"

Sad news for shoppers: The high priestess of cool clothes, Jane Mayle, is closing her shop for good. It was the end of a lease and the accelerating fashion cycle that drove Mayle to close her doors -- not faltering sales. The Mayle store at 242 Elizabeth Street was a huge presence in the Noho shopping area. And it was the burgeoning popularity of Noho that ultimately convinced Mayle to leave.
