With the campaign for her sterling sophomore effort It's Not Me, It's You approaching a close, Lily Allen's already looking to 2010-2011 to get away from the forefront of the music biz. She's aiming to take a more behind-the-scenes approach by way of setting up her own label. Allen told BBC's Radio 1, "I'm going to get into signing new bands but at a really early level." It's a sort of hat-tip to the way was plucked from MySpace obscurity. Allen seeks to find unknowns and groom them into more marketable assets, all the while not directly locking horns with other labels. "I don't want to compete with other record companies but I want to support new artists." This idea, plus her plans to open a fashion boutique, then make sense of the exit she's been teasing for sometime now. It was never a complete departure from music, just a slight left turn away from the limelight. Her last live date is in March, touring with Dizzee Rascal. Meanwhile, Allen's just released her final single off It's Not Me, "Who'd Have Known," which features a Take That sample.
