A lot happened at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's annual Costume Institute gala last night. The exhibit's "Punk: Chaos to Couture" theme inspired starlets, songstresses and socialites, to really go for it and sport daring get-ups and beauty looks. Oh, and as expected, Kim Kardashian indeed graced the red carpet with her presence in a custom Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci floral thing that has quickly spawned it's own "Bitch stole my look!" moment with a sofa. (Social media is fun.) But more than anything, attendees expressed their inner punkdom through crazy hairstyles that ranged from brilliantly bold to major mistakes. Let's revisit these looks, shall we? Starting with tamest (when Anne Hathaway going blonde is tame, things must be getting wild) to zaniest. 

Miley Cyrus is a grown up. And she has boobs. You hear?

Remember when Chan Marshall—otherwise known professionally as Cat Power—casully mentioned she'd like to audition for Saturday Night Live? I've seen her freak out on stage before, although definitely not as bad as some of her more notorious on-stage meltdowns (friends of mine have told tales of seeing her play shows with her back to the audience before walking off in the middle of her set), so I can't imagine how she'd fare on live TV every week. But who knows, maybe her Miley Cyrus impression would rival Vanessa Bayer's. She has the hair for it, after all. The folks at Funny or Die pretty much made a stellar audition tape for Marshall, who shows up in a new sketch in which she performs classic songs for second graders. As expected, everyone feels weird by the end. 

Three years ago when Miley Cyrus was pole dancing at the Teen Choice Awards, no one would have guessed she'd end up being one of the most well-adjusted child stars today. So well-adjusted, in fact, that she is supposedly being considered to Angus T. Jones, the Two And A Half Men star who has seemingly lost his marbles.

As a writer for this august publication of record, it is my sad and solemn duty to report upon all of my editor’s gravest errors. In this case, it is his willful dismissal and obstreperous refusal to see the relative merit and entertainment value in Silver Linings Playbook (2012), which is so totally good enough to kill a few hours with, so watch your mouth, Tyler.

She's no Jeff Buckley. But Miley Cyrus didn't butcher Lilac Wine the way you might expect.

Alicia Keys will make us wait until November for her more stunning vocals on her new album Girl On Fire. But last night Keys appeared at the Stand Up To Cancer telethon and debuted her new single, Not Even The King, for which she also released a lyric video. It's a love song that will give Norah Jones' entire first album a run for its money — and another gorgeous showcase for her breathy voice.

A mentally ill man claiming to be married to Miley Cyrus was arrested at 4a.m. this morning after he hopped a fence onto her property. KATV chillingly reports the man was allegedly "clutching a pair of scissors."

With all the focus on Miley's pole dancing, up skirt paparazzi shots, and topless photo shoots, it is easy to forget Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus gifted this Earth with other children. There's Noah Cyrus, the little girl who dressed like a hooker at an awards show; Trace Cyrus, who is in some band; Braison Cyrus, a son who I know nothing about; and last but not least Brandi Cyrus, who is in a duo called Frank + Derol.
