By now you've heard the news that budding starlet Hailey Steinfeld has landed a modeling campaign with Miu Miu, making her the youngest face the Italian label's ever signed. Formal spokesmodels of Miuccia Prada's celebrated sub-brand include Evan Rachel Wood, Lindsay Lohan, and Katie Holmes. With Karl Lagerfeld busy becoming besties with Blake Lively and Rachel Bilson, and Angelina Jolie working for a Louis Vuitton campaign, you may be wondering: Where have all the models gone?

Miu Miu was recently hit with a number of complaints over this image from their SS11 campaign. Two people reported to the Advertising Standards Authority that 23-year-old Polish model Kasia Struss appears to be "significantly underweight" in the ad, wearing a dress with a plunging neckline that reveals her thin frame. This resulted in an investigation by the ASA, claiming that the Italian luxury label might have breached social responsibility guidelines. As of today, Miu Miu has been cleared of charges.

Just because your plan for the rest of winter is to hole up with the entire Roseanne series and the local Chinese restaurant on speed-dial, doesn’t mean your wardrobe has to suffer as a result. Most of us New Yorkers are familiar with the incredible sales at Barney's, and the winter sale going on now is no exception.

As evidenced by the recent buzz around James Van Der Memes, gifs continue to be a popular platform for gaining quick exposure and popularity, which has carried over to the fashion- and design-savvy bloggers (and rebloggers). As one of the few teams taking the gif to the next level, design duo Pamela Reed and Matthew Rader (of Reed + Rader) have been making high-tech fashion editorials for nearly 6 years, employing augmented reality, stop-motion videos, and most notably, animated gifs.

I remember specifically where I was when I first saw the Alexander McQueen Spring/Summer 2010 campaign featuring Raquel Zimmermann. Sprawled across a huge billboard above the McQueen boutique in LA, the vivid colors and striking details were so enchanting that I immediately pulled over, got out of my car, and walked up as close as I could to get a better look. It was just so beautiful and still gives me chills to this day, especially now that the designer is no longer with us. But McQueen's art will live on forever, and it's campaigns like these that capture the pinnacle of fashion just right, reminding us why we love this industry so damn much. And while not all 2010 fashion campaigns had as much impact, there were definitely a handful that hit it out of the park. Fashion Gone Rogue has done an ace job of rounding up the best of the best spring/summer and fall/winter campaign ads, which you can see here and here. Check out our absolute favorites after the jump.

You know the face. You've seen the Miu Miu campaign. That pout and that furrowed brow have graced the pages of Vogue Paris (twice, including the cover) and walked shows in New York and Europe for the likes of Calvin Klein (whom she opened for), Prada, and Jil Sander. She also appeared in the exclusive Givenchy haute couture show in the fall. All this before her 16th birthday. Daphne Groeneveld of Union Models is beautiful, Dutch, and one of the most in-demand models of 2010. Other than that, she leads the life of any other 15-year-old who says things like, "I love wearing jeans," and "right now I’m obsessed with passing my school exams."

Editors worldwide are going kind of nuts over the return of boldness and color on the runways (did color ever really leave?). Either way, I decided to do a little skimming for my favorite Spring/Summer 2011 shoes, but with a myopic focus: said shoes had to contain some element of the color green. Why? ‘Cause it’s my favorite color. While none are available quite yet, at least this mini-guide will give you a sense of what to wish/save for should vert also be your tone of choice—seafoam is totally the new black. In a niche world once briefly dominated by a man whose last name starts with L and ends in –ouboutin (yet has now sadly gone the way of t acky), a couple of players stand at the ready to fill the role of trendy “it” shoe designer. My prediction? Brit Nicholas Kirkwood. Already well on his way to attaining cult/obsession/freak-out status, Kirkwood makes wild and pretty shoes for wild and pretty people. Look at this blue-green platform. Appreciate its teetering height and its aerodynamic lines. While Kirkwood may not have as obvious a signature as a bright red sole, those who know his designs can spot them from miles and miles away. Kirkwood is sold at Jeffrey New York.

Shocking Pink Acid Wash: Diesel transforms the denim jacket classic with a statement fuschia wash that smacks of Pretty in Pink. Sawn-off sleeves and a studded collar complete the look. Styled with a faded print t-shirt, the humble staple is reinvigorated for a new generation of Brat Pack.
