Mark Ruffalo: My favorite restaurant in New York is Le Cirque. AnnaLynne McCord, at the “Shutter Island” premiere: I live in L.A. I don’t go out that much because I don’t drink, so going out, kind of, becomes work, in a way. But, as far as restaurants, I love Chart House in Malibu for good seafood. And good Spanish food – Mexican food – Spanish Kitchen on La Cienega, one of my favorites. I, actually, really like Chili’s [laughs], for a little chain restaurant. Those are three I can think of right now. What’s good at Chili’s? Oh, my God! The queso. I go in, sometimes just get the chips ’n salsa to go, and go home, but the queso -- I love the chicken steak quesadillas, just, like, chain restaurant. I’m from Atlanta – that’s high-class dining when you’re in Atlanta, so! Fran Lebowitz: I would never tell. Then they wouldn’t be my favorites, anymore. Then everyone would be there. Do you think they would want to follow you? It’s not me. It’s like you tell anyone anything-- look what happened in New York. It got turned inside out. Anything any New Yorker knew, they tell someone like you, and then there’s a million people there from out of town.

Capitol City (Hollywood) - Forty-six TVs. Maze-like rooms to separate team cheering. Wii matches in between games. Thirty beers on tap, augmented by more in bottles. Bar food like a hit list of L.A. favorites: mini burgers, fancy mac and cheese, and the all-time winner -- spicy tuna on crispy rice. ● Philippe (Mid-City West) - In the old Dolce space, so scenesters and expense accounts are essentially built-in. Right there next to the bar, and again in the private wine cellar dining room. Lots of red against black and white background (Asian moderne, or some such). Pricey versions of gwai-lo favorites: shiu mai, satay, lettuce wraps, salt and pepper calamari.

I love hating on The Real Housewives of New York. I've seen every episode. Even the reunion show. My viewing started off as an innocent diversion before spiraling quickly into a dark habit. I'd DVR the new episode and watch it fast so I could erase it before my boyfriend came over. My best friend, a reality show addict herself, advised me to get out before I got too deep. "I can handle it," I told her. And myself. But I just couldn't stop chasing that dragon. It's too much fun disapproving of the Housewives' extravagant lifestyles, marveling at the intricacy of their bitchiness. I like to play a game as I watch: who is the most spoiled? The stupidest? The relatively least-stupidest? I began wagers with myself, whether someone was going to finally bitch-slap Kelly Bensimon, or if anyone would call child services on Alex and Simon Van Kempen for endangering the lives of their children by turning their house into a construction zone. But despite my best loathing, I discovered a sensation strange for reality TV had begun to seep in. Fondness. I was starting to really root for Bethenny Frankel.
