Mark Wahlberg

● Mark Wahlberg is already taking back that thing he said about 9/11 going differently, had only he been onboard one of those planes. "To speculate about such a situation is ridiculous to begin with," he told TMZ. "I deeply apologize to the families of the victims that my answer came off as insensitive, it was certainly not my intention." [TMZ]

2011 was the year of youth style. From tween actors like Elle Fanning and Hailee Steinfeld, to bloggers like Tavi Gevinson, the fashion world was openly enthralled with said sartorial wunderkinds, documenting their fashion sense just as thoroughly as they would for Kate Moss and Chloë Sevigny. rock of ages

Surely those who are fans of '80s hairbands aren't who you'd expect to be checking out a Broadway matinee on a Saturday afternoon. But that didn't stop the creative team behind Rock of Ages, however, from creating a jukebox musical full of songs by Journey, Foreigner, REO Speedwagon, Bon Jovi, Poison, among others. The frontman of Twisted Sister, Dee Snider, even spent a few months performing in the show last year. It's a bona fide hit, and has been running continuously since April 2009. So naturall,y that would make it perfect for a movie musical, right?

When you watch Tom Cruise rappel from the Burj Khalifa this winter in Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, think about this: The action hero dangling from the world’s tallest building is the same age as Wilfred Brimley was in Cocoon. Mike Ryan of Moviefone noticed this fun fact when he heard that Brimley turned 77 on Tuesday. That’s right, Wilfred Brimley was only 49 when he played retirement home resident Ben Luckett in Ron Howard’s film about aliens restoring youth to a group of geriatrics. Disregarding his relationship with aliens, could a 49-year-old Cruise display that kind of range today?
