The newest Twilight film was a hit, but not that big of a hit. While Breaking Dawn: Part 1 brought in a ton of money during its first weekend--$139.5 million, to be exact--it didn't meet box office expectations. Experts agree: dudes don't want to go see the new Twilight movie.

● One of the most memorable moments of last night's American Music Awards happened in the audience, when BFFs Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez were caught singing along with Nicki Minaj's performance of "Superbass," a moment for which they've been practicing.  [Jezebel]

Bill Condon, who has stepped in to direct the final Twilight films, is a class act. When it came to the design of Bella and Edward's wedding invitation, seen in the beginning of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1, he went to New York-based Connor Fine Engraver & Stationer. So November 18 is kind of a big deal. That's when The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 hits theaters, and when Bella Swan and her undead boy toy Edward Cullen finally consummate their love. To celebrate the occasion, we asked Twilight starlet Ashley Greene to grace the cover of our November "Drama" issue, and guess what? She said yes!

● Incredibly level-headed young exes Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner shared a nice evening together at the Teen Choice Awards. Reportedly, the two "were laughing and having nonstop fun." Swallowed pride works every time. [NYDN] ● Arnold Schwarzenegger went out for a bike ride in an unfortunate t-shirt that read "I SURVIVED MARIA" on the front, and had the dates "1977-2010" -- the years they dated -- on the back. ● Harry Potter beat out Twilight in the Choice Sci-Fi/Fantasy category at last night's Teen Choice Awards. Everything else went to Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift, or Justin Bieber, more or less. ● Robert Pattinson ditched Kristen Stewart at the MTV Movie Awards' podium to land a big kiss on Taylor Lautner. Eclipse took home nearly half the night's awards. The numbers for 2010's top 10 baby names are here, and surprise surprise, the whole country is naming their babies after Twilight characters. The top name for baby girls was Isabella (like Bella Swan), and the top name for boys was Jacob (like Jacob, the werewolf/heartthrob). Of course, Jacob is always a popular name anyway. But it sure seems like Isabella got a boost from the hugely popular misogynist vampire series!

● Snoop Dogg has recorded a song entitled "Wet" for Prince William and hopes to perform the sensitive ballad at the upcoming royal bachelor party, at which everyone will probably sip hot tea. [Vulture] ● Tony Parker's divorce lawyer quit because he also represents the woman he allegedly had a sexting affair with while married to Eva Longoria. Awkward! [TMZ] ● The new movie in the Twilight series, Breaking Dawn, will have a feather-spewing, pillow-ripping sex scene. [EW]
