●"I don’t care if I don’t act anymore," admitted Mel Gibson in his first interview since his much-scrutinized split form Oksana Grigorieva and the accompanying anti-Semetic rants. "I could easily not act again. It’s not a problem." [Deadline] ● Concerned that it is is "enticing young people with hip-hop themes and lollipop flavors," attorney generals in 17 states have teamed up in hopes of banning Snoop Dogg's malt beverage, Blast. Snoop Dogg was too high to care. [CNN] ● Yesterday in New Jersey, titans of fashion Valentino and Karl Lagerfeld's private jets landed, as a matter of coincidence, with in five minutes of each other, spilling an "amazing array of luxury suitcases," "beautiful entourages," and "quite a few dogs," onto the runway. A runway is a runway is a runway. [Page Six]

This spring it’s okay to get your panties in a ruffle—in fact it’s trendy! Well, at least for your outerwear. Spring/Summer 2011 brings us all the fun flirtiness of ruffles and frill. I remember specifically where I was when I first saw the Alexander McQueen Spring/Summer 2010 campaign featuring Raquel Zimmermann. Sprawled across a huge billboard above the McQueen boutique in LA, the vivid colors and striking details were so enchanting that I immediately pulled over, got out of my car, and walked up as close as I could to get a better look. It was just so beautiful and still gives me chills to this day, especially now that the designer is no longer with us. But McQueen's art will live on forever, and it's campaigns like these that capture the pinnacle of fashion just right, reminding us why we love this industry so damn much. And while not all 2010 fashion campaigns had as much impact, there were definitely a handful that hit it out of the park. Fashion Gone Rogue has done an ace job of rounding up the best of the best spring/summer and fall/winter campaign ads, which you can see here and here. Check out our absolute favorites after the jump.

Jessica Alba rocks the Black Swan look in a tiered feather-and-bow strapless Valentino dress that retails for over $2,000, gold vintage clutch, and strappy gold Christian Louboutin platforms that retail for over $1,200 at the New York premiere of Little Fockers last night. Jessica looks stunning and flawless with golden skin and a sleek bob. Her outfit is gorgeous too, but the $3,000 price tag isn’t. We can do this for way less—about $2,500 less!

While it may be wrong to envy a 12-year-old, we have to be a little jealous that actress Elle Fanning (Dakota’s little sister) arrived to the Los Angeles premiere of Sofia Coppola’s Somewhere wearing a perfect little black dress and embellished shoes from the fall 2010 Valentino Couture collection. Considering it is couture, it still somehow manages to be age-appropriate and completely adorable. If you care to marvel over more Valentino gems, do so here. And watch Elle in a sneak peek of Somewhere, after the jump.

The Joan Rivers edition in Bluefly’s video series, Closet Confessions, was recently released, and Joan does not disappoint. She gives Bluefly a tour of her fabulous wardrobe, gushes and jokes about her favorite designer Valentino—"I just had dinner with Valentino. I was wearing his jacket and he was delighted to see it, but never once from that Italian mouth came out, ‘You must buy me wholesale'"—and, of course, takes some jabs at various celebrities.

For F/W 2010, we're seeing the return of the kitten heel. With past seasons dominated by the mega platform, the kitten heel looks to be making a steady comeback. Though not as tiny as it was a few seasons ago, it's definitely a drastic change. Prada started the revival, and we're seeing more from Lanvin, Stella McCartney (pictured), and Valentino. Though not as lengthening and flattering as platforms, kitten heels are definitely more comfortable for our backs and feet.

I have so many lemmings this season, I’m not sure what to do with myself. You know, a girl can only buy so many things and call them “investment pieces.” Yep, I’m a girl. I love clothes and cosmetics. I know it’s shocking. The first step I’ve taken to curb the urge is staying out of Sephora as much as possible. They have WAY too many holiday gift sets. I mean, do I really need a set of 10 different kinds of mascara? “Well, maybe!” says the shopper in me. Second, I use Stylecaster.com to build my dream wardrobe to give me the “feel” that I’m shopping and actually have every piece that I crave. This works temporarily. Then I head down to Starbucks and get a grande pumpkin latte (extra whip cream) to help me forget. Since I’ve moved from Los Angeles, I’ve tried to do the “minimalist” thing. After packing up literally trash bag after trash bag of “stuff” (and subsequently realizing I may be one of those hoarders on A&E) I made a decision that when I got to NYC, I was going to stop the madness and only buy what I truly needed. Truthfully, I’ve done well so far—but winter time always gets me. I love, love winter clothes. I love scarves, boots, sweaters, and bundling up. There’s always the excuse, “It’s really freezing outside, I’m going to need more layers.” It gets me every time. Here are some of my fashion aspirations this season. Aaah, a girl can dream…
