So, Twilight. Thoughts? Are you still in deeply in love with Edward Cullen? Someone I know saw it three times this weekend (or was it four?). Someone else I know wept. Others saw Robert Pattinson celebrating his film's dazzling opening weekend at Beatrice Inn, wasted and cheerfully straddling a banquette. The film is already such a smash that number two in the series is already in the works. So even though reviews were lukewarm, the Twilight train is barreling forward. Except I got this disconcerting text on Saturday night from a coworker and devout fan of the books.

"Ben FYI I am beyond disgusted with the twilight movie and I think I should write something to convey the utter disappointment that has been expressed by all the fans. It was seriously the worst movie I've ever seen. - bridgette." I just went to her desk and followed up on that review, and she put it in even blunter terms. "Everything about it was bad. The writing was bad, the acting was bad -- if I hadn't read the book, I would have walked out after the first 15 minutes." I hope Melissa Rosenberg doesn't read this. Awkward!
