imageHollywood won't have Joaquin Phoenix to kick around anymore. In an interview with Extra, the two-time Academy Award winner announced he's quitting the biz to pursue a full-time music career. "I want to take this opportunity, to give you the exclusive, that this will be my last performance as an actor," Phoenix told Extra's Jery Penacoli. "I'm not doing films anymore." Now, remember, this is the same yutz who was talking about having worms in his head during a red carpet interview. But the Johnny Cash biopic star has his mind made up about the new direction.

For his role in Walk the Line, Phoenix learned to play guitar. According to People, Phoenix has been collaborating with Brit rockers The Charlatans. "Are you serious?" asked Penacoli. "Yeah. I'm working on my music. I'm done. I've been through that." It's true, said the former actor's rep, "that is what he told me."
