Yesterday, everyone who writes for the internet went wild for the trailer for Where the Wild Things Are, Spike Jonze's upcoming kids movie for grown-ups. And why shouldn't they? It was, admittedly, awesome. Cinematical called it "absolutely brilliant." /Film thought it was "beautiful, moving, and thrilling." Even music site Pitchfork -- which was drawn by the trailer's use of Arcade Fire's glorious song "Wake Up," moved it to the top of their "Films to Get Stupidly Giddy About list." And just about everyone reported tears. That's high praise for an ad. But how much of this trailer's genius and sentimentality is courtesy of Spike Jonze, and how much of it is the Arcade Fire's doing? We decided to set the trailer to a different song, namely Nine Inch Nails' "Just Like You Imagined," used so effectively by Zack Snyder in his 300 trailer. The result is 2009's freshest, funnest, and furriest action movie.
