Azealia Banks is the rapper of right now, so it makes sense that Karl Lagerfeld would be into her. In celebration of his new line, Karl, he invited the Harlem rapper to perform at his house in Paris. As a thank-you, he gifted her with a sweater with his silhouette woven into the front in the style of the Mickey Mouse sweater she wears in the "212" video. After the click, you can watch a video of her performing that song for a room full of the rich and beautiful.
Normally I hate promoting celebrity inside baseball because it makes me feel unaccomplished and fat, but this circumstance is a top hat full of crazy: Banks appears to be rapping in the sex chamber from Eyes Wide Shut, the people in the crowd are watching her with the intensity of Fred Durst playing a guitar solo (sorry that all of my references cease after 2002) and as Pitchfork points out, Banks received an iPad with Lagerfeld's head engraved on the back. That's some Illuminati shit, for real. I hope Banks doesn't get sucked into a morass of star worship and fashion elitism, but it's probably better than playing club shows in Queens.
