The Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival (August 8) officially announced its lineup of artists. Looks as though a slew of DJs and acts will take the stage, including performances from The Juan Maclean, Young Love, Kap 10kurt (one of Dave Gahan’s go-to-guys for remixes), Larry Tee, Roxy Cottontail, The Cloud Room, 33hz, and DJ Ayers. For the complete lineup, check out their site; a surprise guest will be announced via Twitter on the day of the show.

Famous Friends, a New York-based promotion company, in conjunction with Noise Problem is responsible for putting together these festivities. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased ahead of time or at the gate. The event will take place at the old American Can Factory from 4pm to 4am. The “old factory” environment reminds me of Brooklyn’s rave days back in the 90s. I think it’s safe to say Famous Friends is trying to bring back that warehousey vibe.
