Poor Brit-Brit. The comeback queen can never get a clean break from scandal, can she? All references to bisexuality, alcoholism, drugs, and dirty four-letter words aside, Britney Spears' latest single, "If U Seek Amy," is harmless and hair-swishingly catchy. But it's apparently also the bane of every radio DJ across the country. Many of them implore Britney to think about the children and how her casual implication of the F-bomb might corrupt them -- as if MySpace and Miranda Cosgrove already hadn't. They would also like Britney to ruminate about the awkwardness of a mom driving her eight-year-old to school, when suddenly, her filthy homage to sin unexpectedly comes blasting on the radio. Fat chance!

As if Britney has ever ruminated on any aspect of her career. But also, this dates back to controversies over indecent movies and video games since the dawn of culturally relevant times. Radio's reluctance to embrace "Amy" could be a mixed blessing, according to some guy who used to manage her. The operative phrase here is "used to manage her." Johnny Wright also "used to manage" the Jonas Brothers, Justin Timberlake, and Janet Jackson. He says that Britney would've been better off getting her life back on track before getting back into the groove. But a platinum certification and a pair of successful singles beg to disagree. They also pretty much make the listening habits of the environmentally unaware soccer mom and her kids nonessential anyway.
