In a few hours, I'll be at the Bowery Ballroom, watching Kanye West take the stage for a sort of surprise, sort of secret show. It was announced this morning, and tickets went on sale at noon. Somehow, I managed to get one for the asking price of $100, and have been deciding all day on what exactly I should do with it. If I go, I get to see a true musical genius at the peak of his powers, the day after his masterpiece got released, performing for a crowd about 100 times smaller than he's used to. If I decide to sell, I can probably be at least $400 richer than I was this morning. I think Kanye himself said it best: No one man should have all that power.

Although I desperately wanted to see the show, I decided to test the open market on Craigslist. Almost immediately after selling out, people started talking about tickets going for $1,000. Someone, obviously a hilarious prankster of sorts, put up a ticket for $100,000 on eBay. A joke, yes, but it put ideas in my head. My asking price for one ticket to see Kanye West tonight was $1,000. If someone met that, the ticket was theirs. If not, I'd have to think about it. Here are some of the offers I received over the last six hours.

I can pay 300 each and extras. IDK. Ill take you to dinner....get you wasted on Ludlow etc etc. Im not a baller. Just want to go to show. PLEASE let me know if you are up for 300/ticket and any other creative ideas.
