Goodness. What it is about Taylor Swift that has all of us eating our words. We already know well of TaySwift's best week ever, what with her CMA sweep, hot off the heels of our SNL victory, But there's something about her innocuous, inoffensive mien that makes us want to bend over backwards. Whether it's something like saying, "Taylor Swift is such a fugly slut," or "Taylor Swift is a mediocre singer," we all feel struck by the left hand of God the second such jagged words issue forth from our mouths. The latest celebutard to cross Swift, then? Wynonna Judd.

Essentially Judd told tabs the world over, "Taylor, child, I'm really happy for you, and Imma let you finish, but I just got to say Dolly Parton is the Entertainer of the Century!" when Swift received a golden cowpoke for Entertainer of the Year at the CMAs. Judd previously said that it had been too premature to bestow such an honor on Swift, who at 19 years old, wasn't of age to drink and therefore had some of the best years of country-singin' material ahead of her yet. But an addendum, because WyJudd's a class act like that: "My intent was not to take anything away from her talent and contributions to the country music industry ... all of which are truly unprecedented for an artist of any age." Layin' that honey on thick, Judd added, "Taylor is a beautiful, hard working young woman that deserves the success she has had and I support her as an artist and as a woman in the business." Well said, Wynonna. Now back to the rib shacks of Dollywood you go.

(This is all to say that everyone's glossing over the bigger news item to emerge from the CMAs: That the guy from Hootie & the Blowfish is doing country records now. Oh dear.)
