Airports are the place to be tomorrow. Not only will travelers be packing the terminals and gates on the busiest travel day of the year, but Google is providing WiFi around the country, Travelocity is sending out its Thanksgiving Task Force with giftable gnomes and steady Tweets about airport traffic and, now, Bing Travel is getting in on the holiday spirit. At the Boston and Seattle airports tomorrow, Bing Travel will reimburse baggage fees to a lucky 1,000 passengers iin $15 increments.
Representatives will hang out around the baggage claim areas in both the Boston and the Seattle airports and randomly select 1,000 travelers to gift with baggage fee reimbursements. "The whole idea is to bring a little surprise and joy into a traditionally painful day to fly," says a spokesperson for Bing. Though there aren't many specifics about which terminals or airlines the Bing gifters will be at -- no need for them to get mobbed -- rumor has it that most of the vouchers will be handed out in the AM hours, which makes sense given that the Bing Travel guys probably have their own Thanksgiving travel plans to attend to.
