Everyone tries to compete with New York, even when it comes to the annual iconic ball drop in Times Square on New Year's Eve. Contenders like drag queens, cheese wheels, and giant pickles! In Ohio, we've got a 20-foot, 600-pound fiberglass walleye fish named Wylie dropping from Port Clinton, plus an 18-foot spotlit sausage drop in Elmore. In the southeast, we've got a conch, a real live drag queen (Drag Queen Sushi), and a pirate wench all dropping (in Drag Queen Sushi's case, lowering) in various locations in Key West, Florida. The pickle drops in Mount Olive, North Carolina, and the seven-and-a-half-foot edible slice of bologna drops in Lebanon, Pennsylvania.
