imageDon't you love it when a panic takes over the nation? I get that people are nervous about this mysterious flu that's picking off people one by one, but now it seems like the airlines have a hair trigger about every cough and sniffle in the skies. Swine flu was at the top of the list after two passengers exhibited "flu-like" symptoms on a recent AirTran flight from Cancun (that's in Mexico!) to Baltimore/Washington. The two men's flu-like behavior caused all the 115 passengers to be quarantined for 40 minutes while health officials examined the men, who complained of nausea and fever. Their ultimate diagnosis: too much alcohol.

After refusing further treatment, the two men, now probably stone cold sober, were released along with all the other passengers. The airlines are trying their best to take this seriously, though they might be pushing the panic button a little to often. @BudTravel tweeted this morning: "a flight attendant tells me: 'airline employees are supposed to deny boarding to anyone who 'appears' or is 'apparently' ill." Whoa. Sounds like that's a little subjective no?
