I wouldn't normally recommend going stag to Tenjune, but if you're a lady (anatomically, at least) and GQ happens to be hosting a "Classic" party (with complimentary Jack Daniels!), then go single, or go double. Just go. Photo by David Lam
True to their invite, the quarterly for gentlemen hoisted up a number of classic photographs—everyone from Bob Dylan to Robert Redford lined the halls—and the free JD lined the bar. The music wasn't exactly timeless—except, of course, for Britney's "Gimme More." In order to get into the main room, one had to pass under a blinding spotlight, so that "everyone can check out the newcomers discreetly when they walk in," a fedora-clad partygoer alleged.
After meeting all eight of the girls in attendance, and a good chunk of the 250 gentlemen I might add, I headed around the corner to One (as in 1 Little West 12th) for a night cap and apparently Jay-Z had the same idea. I didn't stick around to get all paparazzi on him, but I did see that Gabrielle Union was part of his pretty entourage.
