Last week, a tech writer was ordered to stop video chatting with his daughters because he could have been communicating with a terrorist on the ground. But there's actually a far more sinister use of in-flight wifi out there, one that truly threatens our national security. We are talking, of course, about inane in-flight celebrity tweets.

ABC News devotes no less than three pages to this phenomenon, which can involve anyone from Kim Kardashian to Lauren Conrad to Perez Hilton, and of course, Kevin Smith, who recently used Twitter extensively during his seat-gate controversy. See also: MC Hammer, pictured.

Just what are the celebs tweeting from 30,00 feet? Even more amazing bits of 140-character poetry than they do on the ground, of course. For example, Miley Cyrus recently tweeted "goin to NY 4 GMA and other cool stuff! :) right now snuggle time with branderz on the plane!" "Snuggle time"?! "Branderz"?! This might not exactly threaten national security, but it's definitely compromising our national dignity.
