A new kind of travel site launched this week: Kijubi. They've tried to phonetically match up what it would look like if you said "could you be" as fast as you can. As in, "what couldyoube doing right this minute on your vacation." This is the second launch for the site, previously known as CalActive. It's a neat take on travel plans -- they're not trying to sell you a hotel room, or point you in the right restaurant direction, or even get your butt in a seat on a flight. Instead, they're trying to get you outside and enjoy the natural wonders of wherever you are. Most of the activities so far are all in California, but there are some things to do in Nevada, Maryland, and Florida, with plans to cover New York and Hawaii in the next six months. While there are more "traditional" vacations on the site, like discounted tickets to theme parks and whale watching tours, there's also stuff like hot air balloon rides, ropes courses, and mountain biking tours. You can search by land, air, or water, or by type or state. Check out some of the more interesting options after the jump.
● Flying trapeze in Oakland. ● Canyoneering (includes rappelling!) in Los Angeles. ● Stock car racing in Los Angeles, CA ● Historic WWII "Texan" Warbird flight in Sonoma. ● Zero gravity flying experience in several locations in California.
