imageOh no. The popular "What Happens Here, Stays Here," Las Vegas campaign is over. In an effort to address the recent economic downturns, Vegas is singing a different, less risqué tune. Instead of pushing naughty visions of weekend debauchery, the Las Vegas visitor's bureau is going with the slogan "Take a Break." Take a break from what? Job hunting? From counting pennies? That sounds like no fun to me. I want to forget my troubles and do wild and crazy things in Vegas -- things that I will need to leave in Vegas and never ever speak of again.

Apparently the bureau's PR machine also decided that the word "vacation" is no good for business. People are now wary of the "vacation," and instead, would like to "take a break." They've launched this new campaign with the PR stunt we told you about, in which they sponsored an entire town to come to Vegas for the weekend. They're planning on releasing three webisodes filled with footage of the town's weekend "break." Boo to that, Vegas. I liked you so much better in the role of hedonistic beast.
