Apparently, people really wanna see this kid's wang. The Huffington Post has posted in quite the huff this preview of Levi Johnston's upcoming Playgirl spread. In a matter of hours, 862 learned, articulate and web-savvy readers have commented on the photo of a 19-year-old aspiring model from Wasilla. Not much is known about the shoot, except that he looks to be showering, or perhaps sweating shirtless in a tiled prison. The New York Post promises 90% full-frontal nudity. Playgirl consultant Daniel Nardicio's Twitter feed said there would be a hockey stick involved. In any case, it's funny that so many people are heading over to news sites to look at a naked man. But this isn't the first time a male celebrity has caused a ruckus by going rogue.
To celebrate the big unveil, The Daily Beast has created a gallery devoted to "famous" exhibitionists of yesteryear. Among those featured are Brad Pitt (which wasn't so much a photo shoot, but rather a series of paparazzi shots chronicling the success of Pitt's "barenaked lady" pose), David Duchovny and Tyrese Gibson. Others include country musician Keith Urban (pre-Mr. Nicole Kidman, alongside an unrelated but amazing cover line that reads "Biker Twins Rev Their Crotch Rockets"), former Quantum Leap star Scott Bakula, and Christopher Atkins, who slid naked down that stream with Brooke Shields in The Blue Lagoon. Meanwhile The Frisky remarks that for every man who drops trou for the mag, there are others who turn down the offer, citing Donny Osmond, who was quoted as saying, “I know it would have worked as far as creating controversy and changing my image, but I would rather do it the hard way." By the sounds of things, Johnston agrees completely.
