Two enterprising thieves out of the Phoenix area were recently busted after stealing over 1,000 pieces of luggage from the Phoenix Airport. Keith King, 61, and Stacy Legg King, 38 would sneak around the baggage claim, enter from outside the airport, snake bags, and then take them home to resell the contents. The "ring" (can you have a ring with just two people?) was busted when King was arrested a few weeks back after cops caught him in the airport parking lot boosting luggage clearly not his. After King was arrested, he went straight back to the airport to steal more stuff. Cops followed him home to find hundreds of empty suitcases and booked him on the spot.
"It's not immediately clear the relationship between the two," says the Arizona Republic, though given their identical last names and shared address, I'm going to hazard a guess they are married. Regardless, the two apparently have at least a love of thievery in common. The saddest part about this whole situation that the way the got rid of their hot property: garage sales. One neighbor admitted to buying "35 to 40 children's videos for his granddaughter at yard sales at the Kings' home." Not exactly a high-cash heist, unless you're counting profits in the tears of children sadly bereft of their precious videos.
