Now that it's all over (for now), Sarah Palin goes back to Alaska (or will she?), and Tina Fey goes back to 30 Rock. That's right -- Fey is retiring her already legendary Palin impersonation and relinquishing the duties to Kristen Wiig, should Saturday Night Live have the odd need to scratch a Palin itch. In sympathy, I'm also retiring my Palin obsession.
Since she was first announced as John McCain's running mate back at the end of August, we've been writing about her incessantly, from her shoe brand to her Chilean-transvestite-midget doppelganger. And remember the pre-Fey days, where her impersonation was still the subject of speculation? Seems like ages ago. We've done a lot of Palin posts, but like Fey, It's time to call it quits, and I suggest you all do the same. Let the woman hunt moose from helicopters in peace.
