Hollywood's addiction to sequels and spin-off is predicated on the idea that existing movies and shows have built-in fan bases. In the case of a potential spin-off for Boy Meets World, the TGIF sitcom which ran from 1993 until 2000, Hollywood seems to have forgotten the built-in fan base now has mortgages.

That hasn't stopped Disney from developing the idea, though, which will feature the daughter of Cory Matthews (Ben Savage) and Topanga (Danielle Fishel), reports The Hollywood Reporter. At the end of the series, high school sweethearts Cory and Topanga wed.

It's unclear whether any of the original cast — including Rider Strong, who played Cory's bad boy best friend and was the DEFINTION of hotness when I was 12— will be involved in the project. But none of them have really done anything since Boy Meets World went off the air, so they may as well.

Somewhere, the Olsen twins are laughing.
