After the first trailer for The Master arrived last month, a new teaser has been released. The latest from writer/director Paul Thomas Anderson (There Will Be Blood, Boogie Nights) stars Phillip Seymour Hoffman as a charismatic cult leader and Joaquin Phoenix as his increasingly unhinged follower. The 1950s drama also features Amy Adams, Laura Dern, Jesse Plemons, and Rami Malek.

The trailer’s hypnotic music and pacing are chilling enough already, so expect to watch The Master from the edge of your seat.

The Master will be released on October 12.
