Like the Postal Service, Rilo Kiley is synonymous with teenage heartbreak. So naturally, I spent the better half of my freshman and sophomore years of high school justifying my life through lyrics from More Adventerous and Take Offs and Landings—who didn't?
But it's been six years since their last release with Under the Blacklight, and the Jenny Lewis-led band is coming back from the dead to release RKives, a long-awaited collection of unreleased song, b-sides, and rarities spanning their decade-long career. Along with a double vinyl, the album will contain sixteen tracks, all accompanied by artwork designed by the band—an amalgamation of personal photos, collages, and hand-written lyrics.
