”Geoff MacCormack first met David Jones at Burnt Ash Primary School in Bromley when they were just eight years old.” So begins our introduction to MacCormack’s signed, limited edition Genesis book, From Station to Station: Travels With Bowie 1973-1976. From there—fast forward a few years—MacCormack became Bowie’s backing singer and percussionist, traveling the world while collecting photos, ticket stubs, letters, and anecdotes like this one: “We were every inch the freakiest show in town.” Other memories involve run-ins with Bruce Springsteen, John Lennon, and Elizabeth Taylor.
