1. Moma Design Store (Soho) - Designy gifts for anyone on your list.
2. Flight 001 (Greenwich Village) - Laptop bags, pretty patterned luggage, and all kinds of other travel do-dads.
3. Swiss Army Soho (Soho) - Gadgets for people who like to tie knots and cut them open. Plus oodles of other techie gadgets.
Agent Provocateur’s latest ad campaign takes place in a world where female pirates rule and wine flows like water. A slew of scantily clad models -- which includes such recognizable faces as seasoned supermodel Helena Christensen and newbie Alice Dellal -- show off a whole lot of flesh and a wide range of weaponry (knives, pistols, and swords included) in the Brit lingerie label’s latest ads. The campaign is typical AP: two parts theatrics to two parts exposed skin, which altogether makes for a pretty entertaining final package.
If you've got two hours and room left on your plastic, we've got your personal shopapocalypse. These seven Soho streets will help you enjoy wonderful, personal economic collapse in record time.
START: West Broadway (between Houston and Broome)
● Max Mara - Newly accessorized office couture for the career-minded urbanite.
● Swiss Army Soho - High-quality accessories don't just includes knives.
● Reiss - Britain's answer to Barney's.
British lingerie brand Agent Provocateur is well known for its racy ad campaigns -- past stars of which have included Kate Moss and former Blackbook cover girl Maggie Gyllenhaal. But the label's latest just might take the cake for both vampiest and most likely to seduce. The series, entitled "Tableaux Vivants," looks a bit like Caravaggio meets campy B-horror flick at a high-fashion orgy. And not only that. The campaign stars up-and-coming it-girls/rock scions Peaches Geldof and Daisy Lowe. For a seriously titillating slideshow, see the goods on Fleshbot. NSFW! If the lace, latex thigh-highs, and whips don't get you drooling, you may be already dry.
Can you hear that sound? It’s the buzz surrounding Alice Dellal, a sometimes heiress, sometimes model, generating a large reverb through the fashion industry for her trashy style and rumored succession of Kate Moss as the new face of Agent Provocateur. WhoWhatWearDaily.com just named the British-Brazilian hybrid their “Girl of the Month,” and it’s easy to see why (past G.O.T.M.’s include Ally Hilfiger, Peaches Geldof, and Julia Restoin-Roitfeld).
