● Capitol City (Hollywood) - Forty-six TVs. Maze-like rooms to separate team cheering. Wii matches in between games. Thirty beers on tap, augmented by more in bottles. Bar food like a hit list of L.A. favorites: mini burgers, fancy mac and cheese, and the all-time winner -- spicy tuna on crispy rice.
● Philippe (Mid-City West) - In the old Dolce space, so scenesters and expense accounts are essentially built-in. Right there next to the bar, and again in the private wine cellar dining room. Lots of red against black and white background (Asian moderne, or some such). Pricey versions of gwai-lo favorites: shiu mai, satay, lettuce wraps, salt and pepper calamari.
