It’s soon-to-be swimsuit season, whether or not you’re ready for it. Fortunately, this year, new swimsuit lines are surfacing that run the gamut of price points and styles. According to WWD, Charlotte Ronson and “BFF” Shoshanna Lonstein Gruss are teaming up to work on a swimwear line. “The pair are collaborating on a bathing suit and beach line for grown-up girls and their mini-me daughters called Shoshanna Made With Love Charlotte Ronson, now retailing from $60 to $140 at stores including Bloomingdale’s, Saks Fifth Avenue, and online retailer Shopbop.com," says WWD. Think lots of floral prints and a distinct bohemian vibe.

Even though the concept of trend forecasting is essential to fashion's longevity and keeps many a stylish eye employed, nothing makes me happier than being blown away by a completely unexpected sartorial move. Case in point: Charlotte Ronson at New York Fashion Week. Known for siding with more organic patterns, fabrics, and florals that say pretty over punk, today's runway stomped with curvaceous cut-outs, tie-up corsets, and leather everything. Albeit no one in fashion likes to age, we may just have to admit that the Charlotte Ronson girl may, in fact, have grown up from girlhood to gamine. Two leather-gloved thumbs up.

Nylon Magazine has an exclusive first look at Charlotte Ronson’s new line, I Heart Ronson, for JC Penny. I’ll have to admit, I was skeptical at first as the name JC Penny doesn’t exactly call to mind covetable fashions. But, rest assured, when this line launches in February, there are going to be plenty of pilgrimages made to Pennies. And, with nothing priced over $65, there’ll be plenty of pennies saved as well.

JCPenny isn’t exactly cool or cutting-edge. But the major chain is banking that an exclusive capsule collection courtesy of Charlotte Ronson (the NYC-based fashion designer and twin to Samantha) might change that. Considering JCP’s last collaboration -- a capsule line with Kimora Lee Simmons which debuted in July and was termed “inappropriate and misguided” -- the retailer is looking for a bit of damage control.

The rain had everyone windswept and weary on Saturday night upon our arrival to Charlotte Ronson's after-party at Country Club. Halfway through the night, everyone suddenly got their second wind as Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson stormed into the party -- a stampede of paparazzi and camera phones surrounding the pair as they made a mad dash to Charlotte’s table. “Oh, Lindsay is here,” someone from our table said without looking up. We didn’t bother to snap shots either (our sixth glass of Hpnotiq was on the way), and we’re thankful for it, as rumors surfaced that Nicole Richie (who we did not see at all) was wandering around making people erase their pics. Embarrassing! Later on though, suitably tipsy, we did manage to "record" the vibrant scene. Click the jump to witness in full.
