Much like the way a reality show, when edited properly, can make a vaguely pretty girl with no discernible talent or intelligence appear interesting, the road to the 2008 election has done something similar for The View co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck, transforming her from a naive talk show hostess into something of a campy hot mess figurehead. Her outbursts have so far included predictable opposition to Barack Obama and denying any resemblances to Ann Coulter. And recently, during her antics as a vocal advocate for Sarah Palin, she's come out against the media -- the very one that she makes a living off -- blaming it for being too liberal and sexist. Because unlike their dirty hippie counterparts on the left, conservative media outlets have a talent for coming off classy.
