What would a festival be without awards? In the this-is-a-first department: Alan Cumming presented Ewan McGregor a Ray-Ban award last night. "This has got to be a first: a Scottish actor presenting an award to another Scottish actor up a mountain in Utah," he said, handing the podium over to his countryman.

There are so many movies screening at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City this year that it's nearly impossible to choose ten that are most buzzworthy. I say nearly impossible, because I just pulled it off.

● Adventureland - Because this coming-of-age story set in an amusement park is from the director of Superbad. Because it has two of our favorite Kristens, Stewart and Wiig. Because of these clips. And because this is this year's "This year's Little Miss Sunshine."

Has anyone seen Ewan McGregor lately? No? Exactly. He's been riding motorcycles around the world and occasionally adopting a baby along the way. He's also making movies again and has nine flicks in the can for next year. But there's always time to shill for scents, right? Flip through any September glossy and you'll see the Scot -- scarfed, unshaven, gazed and hairy -- pitching his new fragrance for men by Davidoff called Adventure (available at Dillards!).

Actor Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman traversed the globe in Long Way Round. Their next mission—captured in this summer’s documentary Long Way Down—took them from the top to the bottom of South Africa by motorcycle. Here, an exclusive taste of the turf.

When we finished Long Way Round,” says Charley Boorman, son of Deliverance director John Boorman, “Ewan [McGregor] and I went back to our offices and pulled out a map of Africa. I think we had already decided before we came back from our trip that we were going to do Africa.” Says McGregor of their mission, “'One of the things that we wanted to do was to show the true and real side of Africa, all its many faces. We think of famine and we think of wildlife, and Africa’s got everything in between. What we found was that every country had its own identity, and is very, very different from the last.”
