Kid Sister Just Wants to Have Fun

Kid Sister Just Wants to Have Fun With the release of her new album, Ultraviolet, Kid Sister is finally making her mark on the music industry and showing us that she’s more than just another Kanye disciple. Over the last three years she has given us a taste of her fearless style and unique sound, but now we get to see what this Chi-town native is really capable of. We caught up with the spunky Kid Sister to talk about being a woman in a man's world and how if you don't like her sound, you might just be allergic to fun.

Peter Jackson Makes ‘The Lovely Bones’ More Violent

Peter Jackson Makes ‘The Lovely Bones’ More Violent Alice Sebold's The Lovely Bones is tragic and morbid enough on its own. So when Peter Jackson was set to direct the screen adaptation of the novel, everyone thought it would be equally as distressing, now that the horror is visualized for us. Apparently we were wrong. (Spoiler coming, by the by.) Jackson has revealed that early test screen audiences were thirsty for more blood, complaining that the child killer (played by an unrecognizable Stanley Tucci) isn't murdered brutally enough in the movie's final death scene.

Ed Norton on Trailing the Obama Campaign

Ed Norton on Trailing the Obama Campaign HBO and Edward Norton's production company have teamed up to produce a record of Barack Obama's historic campaign, By the People: The Election of Barack Obama, premiering November 3. What started out as a documentary of a senator turned out to be one of the biggest undertakings Norton and the filmmakers have ever experienced. The team worked on By the People for over three years, chronicling the life of the Obama family and those who gave their all for Barack to get elected. The result is a sensationally moving depiction of the campaign trail that displays the strength of Obama and those he inspired. We caught up with Norton and filmmakers Amy Rice and Alicia Sams to hear about their experience making the film and being given an all-access pass into the life of our president-to-be.

Christian Bale’s Inspiration for ‘American Psycho’: Tom Cruise

Christian Bale’s Inspiration for ‘American Psycho’: Tom Cruise The art of the onscreen murder was never staged with such graphic gusto as when Mary Harron filmed Christian Bale slicing and dicing his way through the excess of 80s Wall Street in American Psycho. Since then, the Canadian-born director has dabbled in television, filming episodes of Big Love and Six Feet Under, as well as feature The Notorious Bettie Page. Harron's latest project is an entry in the Fear Itself anthology (currently available on DVD), a television series broken down into 13 different episodes and featuring some of the biggest names working in horror today. Harron's Community follows a young married couple who move into a seemingly perfect neighborhood, and of course, the key word there is seemingly. We spoke to the director about the horror genre, Roman Polanski, and Tom Cruise's lifeless eyes.

Michelle Monaghan Talks ‘Trucker,’ Learns to Pronounce Galifianakis

Michelle Monaghan Talks ‘Trucker,’ Learns to Pronounce Galifianakis In the last few years, several just-a-pretty-face actresses have proved otherwise, vaulting their careers and credibility with harrowing roles in micro-budgeted art house fare. Hilary Swank did it in Boys Don’t Cry, Halle Berry did with Monster’s Ball, and Charlize Theron in Monster. It’s too early to tell if Michelle Monaghan’s latest role will end with her at the podium, but after supporting roles alongside Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible 3, Shia Labeouf in Eagle Eye, and Ben Stiller in The Heartbreak Kid. But her new film Trucker is the actress’ coming out party, playing a care-free truck driver who is forced to reexamine her life once her son is reintroduced into her life. We spoke with her earlier this week.
