Kevin Long stretches his expertise over state lines on a daily basis. He serves as executive chef at both SHRINE Asian Kitchen, Lounge and Nightclub at MGM Grand at Foxwoods Resort Casino and Scorpion Bar, located in Foxwoods Casino. Long also heads the kitchen at Tosca and Caffe Tosca in Hingham, Massachusetts. Humbly starting his career at family restaurants on Boston’s South Shore, Long rose to work alongside one of his idols, Thomas Keller, at The James Beard House and the Park Avenue Cafe.

As a BBC Radio 1 presenter and DJ, Annie Mac is definitely a household name within the UK. After all, across the pond she’s considered the new voice of dance music due to her show Annie Mac’s Mash Up. Annie recently took over the legendary reins of Pete Tong’s famous Friday night slot on Radio 1 -- traditionally kicking off the weekend for those Brits to let loose. This past month, she came over to North America for a small club tour, stopping through New York City, of course. We caught up with Annie at the Tribeca Grand before her 2am DJ gig downstairs in the hotel’s subterranean dance den.

Jean-Luc Naret, director of the world-famous Michelin Guides, released the fifth edition of the New York Michelin guide Monday, and yesterday, the books hit stands around the city. As with any upper echelon foodie-endeavor, this one was met with some criticism from food-lovers with differing opinions. Nonetheless, to talk about the long road before the list is finalized and printed, we sat down with Naret to get the backstory of the Michelin Guides and what it takes to secure a much-coveted three stars.

The tour seeks to promote the October 20 release of his fourth studio album, Kaleidoscope. Tiësto is one of the most sought-after producers, having remixed tracks by such epic headliners as Madonna, Britney Spears, Sarah McLachlan, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Paul Oakenfold, Moby, Tarkan, Kanye West, The Killers, and Maroon 5. Tiësto is not one to sit around, and the new album marks fresh developments in his musicianship and certainly solidifies his global popularity. We hunted Tiësto down during his New York visit to get the lowdown on his fast-paced globetrotting, in and out of the hottest nightlife venues around the world.
