JetBlue’s Flight of the Month Club

JetBlue’s Flight of the Month Club JetBlue is pairing up with AMEX to offer an amazing deal through their Daily Wish program. As of this Thursday, JetBlue will offer up three "Flight of the Month" passes. Each pass will entitle the user to one flight a month, with no blackout dates. The pass is good for 12 consecutive months -- December 1, 2009, through November 30, 2010. The total cost for this year-long-flight-pass? Only $2,000. And that $2,000 includes all taxes, fees, and ticket prices. There are however, only three of these golden tickets, and to get them you're going to have to be quick on the draw.

JetBlue Says No to the Miles, Hello to the Money

JetBlue Says No to the Miles, Hello to the Money JetBlue launched the updated version of their TrueBlue program today, and the biggest change is that instead of accruing miles by length of trip, you now rack up points by dollars instead. It used to be that if you were a frequent cross-country flier, you could have a free flight for about every five flights or so. This worked well if you could catch a deal or four on these flights, because no matter what you paid, it was the length of the trip that counted. Now, however, it won't really be such a boon, points-wise, if you catch a sale, because it counts more if you purchase a flight at full price.

Who Should Redesign JetBlue’s Uniforms?

Who Should Redesign JetBlue’s Uniforms? JetBlue had better step up in terms of the frock department. With Delta/Northwest rocking Richard Tyler designs and Cynthia Rowley getting cozy with United, JetBlue is starting to look a little downmarket in the uniform department. Maybe they should go completely avant garde and get Alexander McQueen to design their next set of dress blues. The dresses could come with couture hoods and to-the-floor capes. I'm thinking yards and yards of lace and tulle with studded accents.

JetBlue’s One-Day Sample Sale Remix

JetBlue’s One-Day Sample Sale Remix JetBlue is running back the sample sale and upping the ante for all flights out of Long Beach. For those who can get to John Wayne, you can hop on over to San Francisco for as little as $24 each way. In fact, of the seven flights on sale from Long Beach, none of the fares are over $49 each way. On the east coast, flights leaving from Terminal 5 at JFK are running about $15 higher, still clocking in cheap at $39 each way to places like D.C and Charlotte. To get to Ft. Lauderdale or Chicago it's $59 each way, and for hotspots like Bermuda and Los Angeles, it's still only $89 each way. You can even get to Barbados for only $99 round trip out of JFK. You've got to book by 11:59pm (MDT) tonight, and travel is good October 22 through December 16. Sadly, the week that involves Thanksgiving does not include these deals. More after the jump.

JetBlue Midair Proposal Accepted

"All You Can Jet" may be over, but love was in the air on a recent JetBlue flight to St. Maarten, where couple Jay and Jill got engaged mid-flight. Clearly Jay thought this one out, as he prearranged the deal with the flight attendants. You can watch the poor guy get super nervous as he talks about how much he loves Jill, and of course, she cries. It's pretty sweet actually. At least she said yes; check out the infamous proposal rejection at the basketball game after the jump.

JetBlue’s “All You Can Jet” Already Over

JetBlue’s “All You Can Jet” Already Over JetBlue's "All You Can Jet" pass, a sweet deal launched for September -- $599 to jet to any one of JetBlue's 56 destinations for an entire month (yes even Aruba, Cancun, and Bermuda) -- has abruptly come to an end. Debuting August 12, this stellar deal only lasted for about a week before the airline was overwhelmed with calls. "Sales of the pass have really exceeded all our expectations," JetBlue spokesman Sebastian White says. "We want to make sure that we don't sell so many (passes) that it becomes a challenge for people to find seats," White says, explaining why JetBlue drew the sale to a close earlier than expected.

Twitter Fares from JetBlue & United

Twitter Fares from JetBlue & United Those of you who already Twitter-savvy might know about the deals beginning to seep into the newsfeeds of big corporations. Companies are tweeting out last-minute deals and steals in all arenas. JetBlue and United have decided to give it a go and are tweeting out special deals to those that follow them on Twitter. The airlines are giving out seats on less-than-full planes for unbelievable deals; see JetBlue's "Cheeps," i.e. $9 fares from JFK to Nantucket. The deals are usually dispersed on a Monday, giving followers about eight hours (or as long as there are seats) to book a flight for the next weekend.

United Airlines Refuses Feedback on Bad Food

imageWith all the cuts and slashes in service in the airline industry, it's no surprise getting a bite to eat in-flight is as rare as getting an entire row to yourself. Meals have been cut for flights under three hours, and on the magical three-to-six-hour flights, there's no particular standard. Over on Virgin America, it'll cost you upwards of $9 for a (decent) fruit and cheese plate, while on JetBlue, they bombard you with free chips, cookies, and Dunkin' Donuts coffee (I always want hot chocolate to appear on the menu, but it hasn't happened yet). Beyond those two airlines (and Continental) though, it's not likely you'll run into anything worth sticking your fork into on a domestic flight.

Friday Fare Sale: JetBlue & Virgin

imageToday is a good day for buying a plane ticket. JetBlue has a one-day sale going on, with $29 flights (each way) from Burbank and Long Beach to Las Vegas and San Francisco. That's cheaper than bargain-basement carrier Southwest. With taxes and fees, your round-trip flight will set you back $79.

JetBlue’s “Other Guy”

Following up the rather hilarious "Welcome Bigwigs" campaign, JetBlue has released a new series of animated commercials in which a rather uncomfortable passenger gets transported from the cramped, "other guy air" to a comfortable seat on a JetBlue plane. Check out the second one after the jump.
