After a five-year legal battle to protect its brand from misuse in music videos and cover shoots, Louis Vuitton settled out of court with Sony/BMG artists for a reported $300,000. "Offending uses of the Vuitton brand include Da Brat's Louis Vuitton beachball, a Ruben Studdard album cover that had to be pulled from store shelves because his jacket had the logo, and -- in a sort of grossness trifecta -- Britney Spears riding in a Louis Vuitton Hummer." iPhone 3G Bedazzled Bling If you're lucky/insane enough to procure a shiny new iPhone 3G for today's big release, your next question should be how to make it even shinier. Blingery for the iPhone is nothing new, but Gilty Couture is among the first out of the gate to have their sheath-cases ready to fit the 3G's curvy contours. Consider the "14k Gold Silhouette Bezel & Clear Swarovski" model, which is slightly more restrained than the pink versions available for the old phones. Certainly not the last entries in this market; expect Louis Vuitton to follow up last year's luxury cases with a new-season model.

Louis, Louis Latest celebrity shoemaker? Kanye West, of course. The rapper, dressed in threads from his own clothing line, was caught at the Louis Vuitton show at Jardins de Bagatelle in Paris last Friday, admitting he's designing a line of shoes with the vaunted brand. But he wasn't there to pitch his own kicks, he insisted to Women's Wear Daily . "I'm here for Louis."

A decade after Louis Vuitton released its first city guide, the monogram magnates are back with the LV Soundwalk, an urban audio guide which leads travelers through various cities around the world. As a teaser, and in preparation for the Olympic Games in Beijing, they've released three samples to the media: Shu Qi for Hong Kong, Joan Chen for Shanghai, and Gong Li for Beijing.
