Claire Danes: Danger, High Voltage!

Claire Danes: Danger, High Voltage! She came of age as the quietly brooding Angela Chase in TV’s cult series My So-Called Life. Now, after years spent turning Juliet on her head, romancing Steve Martin, dodging tabloid scandals and finding true love in the fine form of fiancé Hugh Dancy, Claire Danes has finally come into her own. (Check out a pair of exclusive bonus photos for this photo shoot.) On the eve of her bachelorette blow-out, the stage beauty, acting powerhouse and diehard New Yorker gets down to business—and her skivvies—while inviting Ray Rogers into the private world of America’s most grounded leading lady.

Paris Fashion Week: Lanvin

Paris Fashion Week: Lanvin A fierce elegance marched down Alber Elbaz's runway for Lanvin at Paris Fashion Week. The abandoned railway hanger was the perfect concrete setting, with a vast undone beauty; his women walked in beautiful outwardly seamed dresses, fur shrugs worn as if armor, and beautifully rhinestoned and metallic beaded dresses. One of the highlights of the show was the oversized jewelry -- worn in abundance, it added to the overall glamour and gave a modern feel to the collection.

Alber Elbaz Creates Sweet Perfection

Alber Elbaz Creates Sweet Perfection Alber Elbaz designs some of the chicest womenswear around, and the Spring 2009 Lanvin collection was no exception. Beautiful one-shouldered voluminous pieces meet über-chic slim trousers and colorful jewel tones. This season is all about appealing to the innermost desires of the feminine spirit. He dresses women as they want to be dressed, and he makes it look easy.

Raf Simons’ Space Suits

Raf Simons’ Space Suits If designer Raf Simons has his way, future men will wear galactic jumpsuits and pleated mini-pants with jackets coated in plastic coconut flakes. Over the weekend in Paris, Simmons rolled out a new line that's part Blade Runner, part Merry Prankster. The materials ranged from "plasticized waffled cottons" to light wools which appeared to be coated in fragile coconut flakes. Part of the Paris menswear show that included Givenchy and Lanvin, the International Herald Tribune says Simons' creations exuded "power" with its "exquisitely sliced tuxedos, sleeveless and pared down to a shorts jumpsuit. Worn with winged flaps on sandals that pushed the show toward the futuristic, the rigorously tailored outfits were, as Simons said, 'the antidote to pajamas.'" Throughout the show, a message flashed on the wall: "There is a crack in everything. That is how the light gets in." Truly, Ken Kesey missed his true calling.
