Wow. For anyone who has even remotely followed much-hyped model Lara Stone's rapid ascension to mannequin stardom this past year, the latest issue of Vogue UK is a must-read. In it, Stone (who will succeed Madonna as the face of Louis Vuitton this spring) really gets down to the nitty gritty. Fashionologie has posted a few excerpts from the profile of the November cover subject. And, man oh man is it juicy. First off, drugs were never a problem for the confessed recovering alcoholic. "I'd already tried everything in Holland. Anyway, I never wanted to be that model on drugs, the sort who gives head for a line of coke." Booze, on the other hand, was an entirely different issue. Apparently, just earlier this year, Stone went to rehab as a result of her alcoholism spiraling out of control. She's since sobered up and says she feels better than ever.

Despite the fact that Lara Stone may see her curvaceous, size-4 frame as "fat" when compared with her stick-thin runway mannequin counterparts, the model's rapidly rising star is showing no signs of slowing. Having opened numerous high-profile shows, an entire issue of Paris Vogue dedicated to her (not to mention reappearing recently in the rag sporting blackface and spawning loads of controversy), and gracing an enviable collection of magazine covers, Stone has now caught the eye of Marc Jacobs. According to Women's Wear Daily, Stone will be following in Madonna's footsteps and appearing in the next series of ads for Louis Vuitton.

The one model who didn't seem caught up in 'rexy runway stereotypes isn't totally free of body issues; in fact, she thinks she's fat. Lara Stone, the curvaceous -- yet still a size 4 thanks to distinctly small waist and incredibly fortunate proportions -- blonde mannequin equipped with a perfect Lauren Hutton-esque tooth gap and accompanying Jagger-like pout, recently owned up to her insecurities about her weights. While in the past Stone has acknowledged her decidedly different shape from most other waifs working in the industry, this is the first time she's exposed her efforts to ditch her curves in hopes of fitting into a far smaller mold.

Fashion's favorite face these days is the curvaceous, gap-toothed, stunning beauty Lara Stone. She's on the cover of French Vogue this September (in the past, Carine Roitfeld dedicated an entire issue to the Dutch mannequin), as well as in fashion editorials too numerous to track. And she's not limiting herself to merely modeling. No, she's not taking to the silver screen like fellow models Irina Lazareanu and Lily Cole. Instead she's playing curator -- with clothing.
