Today, in wackadoo press releases: this Saturday at the Armani Exchange in New York from 2—4PM, 'Vanessa' (Jessica Szohr) from Gossip Girl and 'Victory Ford' (Lindsay Price) from Lipstick Jungle are going to be giving away kisses. Yes: your favorite New York Observer-reading, Communitea-employed, de-facto Humphrey family member (and once-lover of Nate Archibald...not that I watch or anything) will be (supposedly) giving out kisses for cash in a "Kissing Booth" of sorts.

One potential bright spot in America's fiscal tragedy -- our arts and culture now forcibly skews closer to reality. Consider MoMA's assortment of modular homes, which have suffered the same fate as the real-life housing market. Alas, there are worse woes ahead -- such as the recent cancellation of Lipstick Jungle or confusion over a Sex & the City sequel. To most people, this sort of news heralds the end of a crapulent spate of television brought on earlier this year by yet another SATC clone.

Tuesday morning, you may have noticed something alongside your morning (non-fat, double-shot, soy, no-foam, sugar-free vanilla) latte. On May 13th, Starbucks released Bitter:Sweet’s Drama (Quango) iTunes Digital Release card. We were lucky enough to skip the line and sit down with Shana Halligan and Kiran Shahani of Bitter:Sweet, sans java, whose jazz inspired electronica has been slowly seeping into public consciousness via shows like "Grey’s Anatomy," commercials for Victoria’s Secret, and movies like The Devil Wears Prada. And since they recently landed the theme song to "Lipstick Jungle," we’d venture to say you sort of knew them before you actually knew them.
