Fresh off of Phoebe Philo's stellar premiere collection for Celine comes news that the brand may be facing financial troubles. According to Vogue UK, "Celine has taken the unusual step of closing its only London standalone, on Bruton Street." Rumors have surfaced that in the interim before opening another shop Celine will be stocking wares at Dover Street Market; however brand reps have so far denied this.

It’s a big day in fashion advertising as images from both Armani’s campaign starring Victoria Beckham and Miu Miu’s campaign starring Katie Holmes have surfaced. While the images themselves aren’t especially shockworthy, the striking similarities between the two are decidedly bizarre.

After years of keeping a low profile in the French countryside with hubby actor Johnny Depp, longtime inamorata Vanessa Paradis is ready for her close up. Described as "yet another interpretation of the Miu Miu woman," Prada unveiled its Fall 2008 campaign starring the 35-year-old singer Vanessa Paradis. Miuccia Prada chose Paradis because she has "certain powerful independence" and captures "the overlapping qualities of fragility and feminine strength."

With Prada and Jil Sander having signed the divorce papers, the mega fashion house will install Miuccia’s “pet” brand in the German designer’s old space along New York’s “Bergdorf Corridor,” if you will. The shoe fiend’s paradise will also be opening anew along Beverly Hills’ glittering and mythical shopping drag.
