Congratulations to John Rambow of Budget Travel, the "proud" new owner of our Nick Denton with pancakes painting. John once worked for Nick back in Gridskipper times, and obviously the experience left him with a light case of Stockholm syndrome. We all been there, man. Nevertheless, he scored a significant bargain, as he got the painting for less than half of what the remorseful previous buyer paid. New York Cares still gets the full proceeds though, so this story has a happy ending. For now.

This weekend sees the final gavel on our charity auction for the painting of Nick Denton with pancakes on his head.
