Fresh off of giving birth to second child Sparrow, Nicole Richie is breathing life into a new designing endeavor: her first-ever clothing line (save for a capsule collection of maternity wear premiered earlier this year). The celebrity-turned-designer already has an accessories line and a clothing collection for expectant mothers -- House of Harlow 1960 and Nicole for a Pea in the Pod, respectively -- under her belt. But, now comes the launch of Winter Kate, a new line of women's wear with bed jackets as a staple and everything infused with a Richie-approved bohemian sensibility.

● Everyone’s least favorite Baldwin -- that would be Stephen -- has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, citing he owes the state of New York more than $2.3 million. [Reuters]
● Sony Pictures has won the bidding war over Michael Jackson’s rehearsal footage; the studio paid $60 million and will release the concert film in October. [EW]

When my BFFL broke up with her man in college, she first played the whole I'm fine game by posting inspirational Facebook updates. When she was past fine, she had to show she was really, really fine -- or as some might enunciate: fooo-iiiiiine. This was strategically done by taking those half-naked shots in the bathroom mirror, paired with other half-naked photos of her glowing at a club surrounded by other half-naked girls and maybe a few of her ex's pals just to be sure the ex would see them when the friends were inevitably tagged. Lo, the convenience of modern technology. So, what is a celebrity to do when the whole world is your Facebook, and you've just been dumped for the second time by your beau? Well, if you're Lindsay Lohan, you simultaneously prove you're fine, and you're fooo-iiiiiine by posting a super-hot topless shot in the bathroom mirror to your Twitter ... for Perez, me, and all the world to see.

Eighties and nineties references aren’t the only retro influences surfacing in fashion these days. The Gap is looking to relive 1969 with its relaunch of the brand’s iconic 1969 collection. Meaning, “come August, the Gap customer will have access to perfectly faded boyfriend jeans, rinse-wash skinnies, vintage-inspired bell-bottoms, and an elegant extra-long boot-cut -- all in premium denim fits,” says Style.com. And, perhaps the best part of the Gap being stuck in the past: All looks will be outfitted with $69 price tags.

It looks like Gwyneth Paltrow isn't the only celebrity recently bitten by the designing bug. Add Pamela Anderson to the roster of Hollywood stars crossing over into fashion. While Anderson recently played mused to and starred in ads for Brit sartorial maven Vivienne Westwood, Elle UK says Anderson has teamed up with longtime friend designer Richie Rich (formerly the face behind Heatherette) to create "a collection of leather free shoes and casual pieces entitled Muse." Considering Anderson's style definitely leans more towards the envelope-pushing (think no pants and high heels a la Lady Gaga), there's a good chance the eco-friendly collaboration won't produce frocks for the fashion faint of heart.
