Last night, Operation Smile celebrated its 5th annual Smile Event at Skylight Studio in Manhattan's West Village. White drapery cascaded down from the ceiling. Heels were high. Table settings were ravaged after an exquisite meal courtesy of Phillipe Chow. Gowns were, you know, flowy and big-budget. Huge sums of money were raised at the event's auction, the proceeds of which benefit children around the world born with facial deformities. It's hard to segue from here without sounding like a vapid asshole, but here goes: the crowd at the dinner after-party was comprised of beautiful people, among them, Nick Cannon (who manned the DJ booth), actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Donald Trump Jr. ("The Donald" was also in attendance), model Alexandra Richards, New York socialites Olivia Palermo, Tinsley Mortimer, Annabel Vartanian, and Kristian Laliberte, and supermodel Maggie Rizer. Oh, and something called a Mariah Carey showed up.
