Pam Anderson Designs, Nicole Richie Expands

imageIt looks like Gwyneth Paltrow isn't the only celebrity recently bitten by the designing bug. Add Pamela Anderson to the roster of Hollywood stars crossing over into fashion. While Anderson recently played mused to and starred in ads for Brit sartorial maven Vivienne Westwood, Elle UK says Anderson has teamed up with longtime friend designer Richie Rich (formerly the face behind Heatherette) to create "a collection of leather free shoes and casual pieces entitled Muse." Considering Anderson's style definitely leans more towards the envelope-pushing (think no pants and high heels a la Lady Gaga), there's a good chance the eco-friendly collaboration won't produce frocks for the fashion faint of heart.

Fashion Week: Richie Rich

Fashion Week: Richie Rich In an economic climate where everybody seems to be poor, poor, poor, it's only natural the perfect antidote be rich, rich, rich--or, in this case, Richie Rich, the illustrious other half of the now-defunct Heatherette and recent BlackBook interviewee. Last night Richie showed his true colors, forcing the recession to take a recess.

Pamela Anderson + Vivienne Westwood = Book Club

imageIt's likely that while the paparazzi look away, Vivienne Westwood and Pamela Anderson swap schoolgirlish post-its that proclaim in sparkling pink ink: "PAM + VIV BFF 4EVZ." And having won over ardent fans in artists Jeff Koons and David LaChapelle, it only makes sense that Pamela's appeal would span high art to high fashion. But Koons and LaChapelle probably make it their prerogative to be in touch with Anderson (after all, what good is an artist without his muse?), unlike Westwood. “I’m not a telephone person,” says the designer. “I don’t have a mobile. I can’t be bothered to communicate with people unless I have something very important to say.”

From Bardot to Lohan: Hollywood’s Women Drench Sarah Palin in Bile

From Bardot to Lohan: Hollywood’s Women Drench Sarah Palin in Bile When I asked actor Patrick Wilson for his take on Sarah Palin, he told me "I can't go there." Fortunately, Tim Robbins didn't feel quite so restrained. With all the backlash Mrs. Palin has faced, it's gotta hit hardest coming from her Hollywood idols. Okay fine -- they're my Hollywood idols, but it can't be easy for her teenage daughters to hear that mommy terrifies Matt Damon. But Damon is one of few male celebrities to speak up against Palin, maybe because most are afraid of being branded as sexist. For the girls, it's open season, and Palin is the moose in their cross-hairs. Here's a run-through of some of the more potent estrogen-fueled Hollywood reactions to America's newest "It" girl.

● Just a few days ago, Madonna had some harsh words for the former beauty queen at her New York concert. She also revealed Palin's middle name to the world. Apparently it's "Fucking."

● Legendary screen sexbomb and current animal rights activist Brigitte Bardot wrote a scathing letter directly to Mrs. Palin, calling her "a disgrace to women" and more dangerous than a pit bull. Without lipstick, of course.
