Pat Fields’ ‘SATC’ Line Coming to an End There's still a couple of days left for you to purchase a piece from Patricia Field's Sex and the City-inspired line for the Home Shopping Network. Called "Destination Style New York," and timed to debut with the sale of the SATC movie on DVD, the 50 items in the line range in price from $39 to $199 and include sportswear, dresses, and accessories. The pieces are meant to mimic the style in the movie, but, while I love Pat Field, the appeal gets lost in mass-market translation. I never wanted to look like a Dynasty extra (seriously, what is up with the makeup and hair?), but I'll take that subscription to Vogue that comes free with purchase.

The Sex and the City stylist created over 300 looks for the much anticipated summer blockbuster. After diligently following the show—and then re-watching the whole thing this past month—my judgment says that Fields has her own incredibly accomplished shoes to fill, and then some. The show, which more often than not was praised for its sense of fashion, must carry on and present the ladies in the film with the same stylish integrity—300 pieces worth of stylish integrity—which means two costume changes every minute!
