PJs Fixation for Nicole Richie, Stella McCartney, Kate Moss

PJs Fixation for Nicole Richie, Stella McCartney, Kate Moss What's up with celebrity designers hawking pajamas this season? Just a few weeks ago, Kate Moss released word that her holiday collection for Topshop would include lingerie and PJs for the first time (perhaps partly as a result of her boyfriend, The Kills' Jamie Hince, always stealing hers and wearing them out). Included in the collection is a kimono-style short robe, which was among the first items to sell out, a bed jacket and teddy among other items fit for sleep.

Score Stella McCartney for Cheap: Wear Children’s Clothes!

Some of the biggest news to hit fashion outlets this week is coverage of the launch of Stella McCartney's capsule collection for the GAP. The reason the debut is turning some consumers green: it's just for kids. That is, unless you're petite and, or pretty thin. The team at Grazia headed to Oxford Circus GAP flagship store in London this week to test out the theory that skinny fashion editors can totally wear Stella McCartney for GAP kids -- an endeavor documented in a pretty entertaining video here. The consensus: if you're a skinny fashion editor or blessed with a small foot, there's plenty of merch available for under $100.

Stella McCartney Steps Down

Stella McCartney Steps Down Some of the best news we've heard in a long time. Coveted designer Stella McCartney has stepped down -- literally -- to meet the eye and wardrobe needs of her younger clientele. No stranger to collaborations with mega retailers, McCartney has decided to ride the wave of her uber-successful jaunt with H&M and partnered with GapKids and babyGap for a limited edition (read: this stuff's gonna sell) fall/winter collection, and to the delight of many a gay boy in the making, she didn't stop at girls.

Caroline Wozniacki’s Breasts Inspire Support

Caroline Wozniacki’s Breasts Inspire Support Between a weekend of football kickoffs, tennis upsets, and Michelle Obama's tricep pushdowns, it seems we're being inspired to strap on our sneakers. And Danish tennis star Caroline Wozniacki inspired women to strap on a little more than gym shoes during her winning match at the US Open yesterday, defeating top-ranked Svetlana Kuznetsova in a very bouncy way. Chatter ensued about the well-endowed teen's bust size, causing tongues to wag about the player's future in sports and the merits of a good sports bra. While she may be advancing to the grand slam quarterfinals, her top-heavy performance may also mean she'll be advancing to the pages of Maxim.

Stella McCartney Makes ‘Time’ Most-Influential List

imageTime magazine has released its annual Top 100 list of the world’s most influential people, and surprisingly designer and Beatles scion Stella McCartney is the only fashion person who made the grade. Actress and GOOP purveyor Gwyneth Paltrow wrote the bio for her longtime friend. In the praise-heavy piece, Paltrow provides details both revealing as well as innocuous about McCartney. First off, she’s authentic; even “her red hair is her own.” And of the designer’s long-term vegetarianism (which extends itself to McCartney’s animal-free design sensibility), Paltrow says, “even if you are not interested in being a vegetarian, somehow Stella gets you to believe. She manages to convince you (never sanctimoniously, never from a soapbox) that killing animals is needless and cruel and bad for the environment.”

Industry Insiders: Summer Rayne Oakes, Green Goddess

Industry Insiders: Summer Rayne Oakes, Green Goddess Writer/model/educator/activist/greener Summer Rayne Oakes is a correspondent for Discovery Channel's Planet Green and author of Style, Naturally: The Savvy Shopping Guide to Sustainable Fashion and Beauty. She opens up about global green initiatives, balancing her plate of greenness, and collecting bugs.

What do you do?
If I got stuck in an elevator and had to run down my life, I’d have to say that I run a strategic communications and marketing brand management firm, and I do sustainable products. I align myself with environmental and socially conscious products and programs. I’m doing a program with Payless and their new line of sustainable shoes, called Zoe and Zac, and I’m their sustainability rep. I'll help green the company along the way to launch a shoe that permeates the lifestyle of the people it appeals to. I’m an on-air correspondent for Planet Green, and I’m on their board of advisors. It's all under the umbrella of sustainability.

Stella McCartney was born into a household pedigree, but damned if she intended to rest on it. Instead, the 37-year-old designer extended Sir Paul’s surname into another arena of accomplishment. It has now been 13 years since McCartney segued from student to design star over the course of one runway show -- her college graduation project. From there, she hopped to Paris and onto the stewardship of Chloé, one of fashion’s most beloved brands.

Sacha Baron Cohen Sucks Tampons @ Stella McCartney

imageSacha Baron Cohen made an appearance at Paris Fashion Week yesterday. Specifically, the actor was at Stella McCartney, causing a ruckus as Bruno, the lead character in his upcoming flick. As British Vogue put it: “With his red thong clearly visible above his jeans, the comedian -- who was virtually unrecognizable in a flamboyant leather gilet, with his slicked-down hair dyed blonde and brown -- sucked Tampax, clapped along to the music and generally disgruntled the front row by continually pushing those sitting in front of him for a better look at the models ... who held their own -- and won a lone standing ovation from their most eccentric, and possibly biggest, new fan.”

Stella McCartney’s Bra vs. Posh Weasel Coat

Stella McCartney’s Bra vs. Posh Weasel Coat It looks like one stylist in London got on the fast track to Stella McCartney's bad side. The designer lent the stylist some pieces from her new lingerie collection for a photo shoot. The Daily Mirror reports that McCartney was shocked to see those same pieces under a Hockley fur coat in their ad campaign. McCartney is a known PETA advocate and one of the only designers who creates vegan clothing, shoes, and handbags. A source at McCartney's Mayfair store at the time of the discovery said "Stella went absolutely ballistic when she saw it, I have never seen her so angry. She hit the roof and said that she planned to sue."
